- Su di me | Carla Massimetti
Breve bio di Carla Massimetti. La mia vita artistica. La mia vita. ABOUT In the kindergarten, at the age of three or four, I drew a horse standing upright on its hind legs. My schoolmates teased me because I had sketched it balanced on the tips of its hooves. They said it was impossible for it to stand up straight like this. I, on the other hand, was happy with that impossible horse and never corrected it. I was born in 1956 in Chieti, Abruzzo. Two years later my family moved to Turin, I have lived here ever since. In 1982, with some close colleagues, I founded A Caval Teatro, a research and experimentation theatre group for the Educational Services of the Municipality. Thanks to the high quality of the projects carried out, the laboratory soon became an educational and theatrical training point in Turin and beyond. Artistically, I trained with Maestro Giacomo Soffiantino, following his nude and etching lessons for three years. I am getting my permanent training with the Maestri of the Illustration School of Sarmede, the Painting School of the Pinacoteca of the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, the Master printer Giancarlo Busato, the Print Club of Turin, the artist Paolo Galetto. I exhibited drawings and watercolors in collective exhibitions in Turin, Milan and Adelfia (BA) at galleries, cultural clubs, bookstores. I won second prize with “Neve” in the Watercolor section in the International Competition of Painting, Drawing, Graphics and Watercolor Metropoli di Torino, VI edition, Year 2016, organized by Arte Città Amica. My “Inverni” soft-ground etching was selected for the 2020 Biennale catalogue Diego Donati Award, Perugia.

- Monday Rose | Carla Massimetti
How to make Monday bloom? Drawing roses Monday Rose It is May, the ideal month. Just take a notebook and a few pencils to end the day in an unusual, pleasant and regenerating way: drawing roses and flowers, together, in the evening, in the open air. What do we do I will open each meeting drawing roses and other flowers with different techniques. Then everyone will free their hands on the paper, interpreting the beauty of the flowers as they want, observing and copying even just a petal or a shadow, filling the page with a color or drawing the entire rose garden or a meadow, including the insects, the leaves and the sky. It is about learning to observe in order to sketch on paper what you see, connecting hands and eyes with a line that passes more from the soul than from the brain. What we need A sketchbook of the preferred size but not very large: about 20x15. A Tiger sketchbook is fine, but if you have a notebook at home, an old diary, a Moleskine, a started and never finished notebook, they are just as fine, as long as they have a hard enough cover to act as a support. You can work on blank or lined, squared or numbered calendar sheets; everything is useful to generate ideas. A pencil. Or colored pencils, crayons, dry crayons (chalks) or watercolors if you prefer. If you want you can use ballpoint pens, colored or not. In short, look in the drawers and take out even the forgotten butts. There are no limitations; the only warning is not to overdo it in loading materials because we have to work in particular conditions and we will not have support surfaces if not our legs. If you can, get a foldable and lightweight stool as well. I will bring watercolors, a roll of kitchen paper and brushes with enough water tanks, so who wants to draw watercolor sketches can do it without any further concern. Calendar Three meetings of two hours each, independent of each other: you can sign up for one, two or all. Each meeting will take place starting from a minimum of four participants. (*) Times may vary slightly depending on the opening of the parks IMPORTANT: The meetings will all take place outdoors in public or private parks in the Turin area and in case of rain they will be rescheduled for other dates as far as possible. We will respect the safety distances and all the measures to prevent contagion and fight the pandemic. I remind you in this regard that wearing a mask will be mandatory even if we are outdoors. How much does a bouquet of roses cost? What if you want two or three? Time and costs being updated. To subscribe Back

Carla Massimetti: disegni, acquerelli, incisioni, laboratori di acquerello, espressione artistica, microscene a Torino. Aperti a chiunque voglia provare. - The Little Watercolor School | Carla Massimetti
With the Little School of Watercolor I make my knowledge available for individual or couple lessons, exclusively dedicated to the study of watercolor. The lessons are particularly aimed at those who want to learn about this way of painting which is both light and intense; to those who have always had this curiosity and have never dared; to those who have tried a few times, have abandoned and want to start again; to those who want to delve deeper into something that still eludes them. But above all they are an opportunity to indulge in the great pleasure of painting. The Piccola Scuola preferably takes place live according to the agreements established from time to time, but I am also available for online meetings. The number and duration of meetings varies depending on needs. The Little School costs €25 per hour per person. To participate, fill in and send themodule indicating your preferences. It will be my responsibility to respond promptly to reach an agreement. back to workshops
- Workshops at Home | Carla Massimetti
NOVITY! In November and December there are four new dates available for as many workshops We will hosted by the Barrito The House of the Barriera Nice Neighbourhood via Tepice 23/c in Turin The workshops are opportunities to test one's artistic sensitivity and leave open a path to the creativity that each of us has, perhaps only hidden. They are held in small groups at my house or at friendly associations and sometimes even online: a way that we experienced during the pandemic and that offers at least the advantage of extended accessibility. In my house there is a kitchen to draw and my studio to try other techniques and tools, browse, take a break on the couch flipping through materials and illustrated books on art and artists. There is always a convivial moment, eating something together is normally good for the body, hands, head. Since 2019 I have also activated a Small Watercolor School to discover that they have to say water and paper, abandoning the fear of the blank sheet, the brush, the mistakes. To attend them there are no age limits nor are special skills required. All the pictorial material is available to the participants, with the exception of the watercolor paper.
